Operating Guidelines for Flights into Bermuda

Handling Requests

All general, business, and military aviation must submit handling requests at least 48 hours prior to operation via the Atlantic Aviation Handling Confirmation link.

For subsequent changes to handling requests, use the Atlantic Aviation Handling Change link.

Requests submitted with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a surcharge.

Special Permissions

All military flights and flights operating between 2200L and 0700L require prior permission (PPR) from the Skyport Airport Authority via the PPR link.

Charter Operations (Part 135 or equivalent) must apply for an Operator’s Permit through the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA Website) or via email at foreignoperatorpermit@bcaa.bm

Part 91 operators should review OPSN-02-19 which addresses the SMS requirements.

Mandatory Aircraft Equipment and Procedures

ACAS II (TCAS II Version 7.1) is mandatory for all aircraft, effective April 1, 2023.

All aircraft must have an HF Radio for communication with NY Center on arrival and departure. No exceptions are permitted.

Provide fuel releases before arrival.

All flights must adhere to Bermuda’s safety and operational standards to ensure a smooth process.

Airport Operations

Bermuda International Airport is available to be used for an enroute alternate between 0700L and 2300L.

The Airport is closed between 2301L and 0659L for normal flight operations.

Flights operating after 1800L will also incur an overtime charge.

Customs and Immigration

All handling and customs processing occurs at the FBO. The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) requires all visitors remaining on island to complete the Bermuda Arrival Card. Please use the button below to complete the form.

A separate form is required for each person. Crew and Transit Pax do not have to complete the Arrival Card.

Visitor Requirements

As a reminder, Bermuda Customs are requesting that they be notified of all crew and passengers arriving on corporate jets. This Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS) may already be included in your handling requests to us and is much the same as is required for aircraft arriving into other jurisdictions.

This also includes any updates to aircraft, crew, and passenger changes.

Required information for each person on the flight can be sent via Word or in an XL spreadsheet and should include:
